It was so inspiring, and I think the intimate setting of the chapel contributed to that. We had 3 cottage youth and 2 shelter youth. “Why do I love Girlfriends (GFs Empower) so much…
When I moved to Georgia and had to leave all my relationships behind. I was so focused on getting my kids acclimated, I didn’t realize for a few years how much I really missed my girlfriends back home. As I started to cultivate relationships here, having active children with sports, camps, school etc., I also began realized that I was missing that one on one time with the relationships I had been building here. We would all try to get together but someone always had something else to do. Having a planned GF’s event allowed me to get everyone in the same room, laugh, cry and learn with this fabulous group of women I call my Good Girlfriends. For a brief moment we are able to forget about everything and everyone else and focus on just us. We take so much time taking care of everyone else, we neglect ourselves and our own relationships. It’s time to stop putting us on the back burner! Everyone should have one of these at least once a month! You definitely feel empowered to go and do greater things and with more purpose. It’s a recharge to all aspects of life! The food is always great and the wine always adds extra life to the party. What an amazing experience! I can’t wait to do it again!!!

“I was eagerly anticipating a night out surrounded by fabulous women, a beautiful environment, and delicious food, and I was not disappointed! I quickly felt right at home even though I knew only a couple of the women there. It’s that kind of environment where no one judges and everyone is there to support you and help in whatever way they can, whether it be through networking, giving suggestions, or just enjoying each others’ company for the evening.
